How to check a FOMO trader’s wallet

A FOMO profile is a starting point, not proof. Here is how to turn a handle into on-chain facts and what to ignore along the way.

What the data shows

The router shows up in everyone’s transactions

Trades made through the app are paid for by a shared fee-payer address that appears across many users. Seeing that address next to two traders says nothing about the traders being connected. It is infrastructure, and we filter it out.

Start from the handle, end at the wallet

Searching a handle on the FOMO Scan tool returns the wallet addresses tied to it, plus followers and clan. From there the wallet report shows what the wallet actually did on-chain, which is more reliable than a profile figure.

Traders can trade the same coins without being the same person

In a group of FOMO traders we examined, several wallets bought the same tokens within moments of each other, but when we looked for funding or transfers between them we found none. Overlap in timing can be a shared call or a copy tool. It is not evidence of one owner.

Profile numbers are the app’s numbers

Profit figures shown on a profile come from the app. A wallet report shows realised and unrealised profit from trade data and the share of the bag that was received instead of bought. Compare the two before following anyone.

Five steps for a FOMO handle

1. Resolve the handleHandle to wallet

Use FOMO Scan to find the wallet or wallets behind the handle.

2. Open the wallet reportVerdict and receipts

Read the verdict first, then the evidence behind each linked wallet.

3. Check the bag ratioBought or received

How much of the holding was bought and how much arrived for free.

4. Check realised profitRealised PnL

Cash taken out, not a paper number.

5. Open the boardMoney trail

Follow who funded the wallet and where it sent money. Skip the labelled exchanges and routers.

What to ignore

Seen on-chainWhy it does not matter
The shared FOMO router or fee payerIt serves every user of the app
An exchange hot wallet as a funderIt funds thousands of unrelated people
A bridge solver as the senderIt fronts money for any bridge user
Two traders buying the same coinVery common during a hot launch

Filtering these out is what makes a real link stand out.

Limitations

  • •We do not claim to know who owns any wallet. A handle resolves to the wallet on its profile.
  • •The overlap example describes one group we examined and does not apply to FOMO traders in general.
  • •Profile figures are the app’s own and are not independently verified here.

Check it yourself

Use FOMO Scan on unbundle to resolve a handle, then open the wallet report and the board to follow the money.
